CareOne offers Respite (or short term stays) for individuals in need of 24 hour nursing care for a short period of time. Respite care is typically beneficial to caregivers who are taking a vacation, business trip, or who simply need a caregiving break.

Often times our Respite care clients are people living with a progressive illness such as Alzheimer’s and related Dementia and being cared for by family members.

Respite care can be for as little as a few days and as long as a few months and is offered in both CareOne nursing and rehabilitation centers, CareOne assisted living centers and CareOne assisted living centers for the memory impaired.

Our Respite Care services include:

• 24 hour a day registered nurses
• Activity and Recreation staff
• Certified Nursing Assistants
• Licensed Nutritionists
• On-Site physician services, including; internal medicine, podiatry, ophthalmology and dental care
• Social services
• Spiritual support services

Other services include three meals per day in our graciously appointed resident dining rooms. For residents on special diets, we ensure through our in-house food service and nutrition staff that all Residents dietary considerations are adhered to.

To enhance quality of life, CareOne Center’s offer activities and entertainment seven days a week. Our goal is to engage each Residents in stimulating activities and events to ensure they continue to lead meaningful, dignified lives.
Family involvement is very important to us. Administration at CareOne Centers promote an “open door” policy to families and residents when questions arise about care plans or when seeking out other information.
CareOne offers flexible family visiting hours from 8AM to 8PM seven days a week. Private dining rooms are available in most CareOne Centers for private events with your loved ones and family. Our Centers have been designed with family involvement in mind. We offer several common areas within each Center for family visits. We also offer beautifully landscaped outdoor patios and courtyards to enjoy for visits with loved ones.

Specialized Alzheimer’s Care

CareOne offers specialized services for long term care residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. Our staff has been trained in techniques that enhance communication and care for people living with these diagnosis. Our activity and recreation programs are tailored for individuals with memory impairments and focus on each Resident’s abilities, not their disabilities.

Most CareOne Centers utilize physicians who are licensed “Geriatricians” – physicians who specialize in the clinical needs of the older adult. Typically, these physicians are the primary care physician for their patients on our long term care units and are trained to effectively work with the needs of the Alzheimer’s patient.

CareOne centers also offer monthly support groups for families of Resident’s living with Alzheimer’s to assist in understanding the disease, learn from other families and to provide emotional support.
