CareOne Introduces Anti-Gravity Therapy

(FT. LEE, NJ – May 29, 2012) CareOne’s newest nursing and rehabilitation center — CareOne at Hanover Township, which opened in April — has introduced a progressive, state-of-the art-therapy device known as an Anti-Gravity Treadmill.

Manufactured by AlterG, the Anti-Gravity Treadmill features patented differential air pressure technology developed at NASA. Integrated into a high-tech treadmill, the technology applies a comfortable and uniform lifting force to the patient’s body to provide precise body weight reduction and support. Patients can walk or run normally while the Anti-Gravity Treadmill minimizes pain and protects healing tissue during the recovery process.

“The Anti-Gravity Treadmill will allow our patients to recover from surgery and rehabilitate after an injury,” said Rick Speas, CareOne’s Senior Vice President of Rehabilitation Services. “By allowing for exercise when it would otherwise be impossible, the technology assists patients in regaining mobility and maintaining health more safely than other therapies.”
