CareOne Supports Katrina Relief Efforts
On Wednesday January 25th, CareOne, New Jersey’s largest family owned and operated senior care company presented a donation to The Executive Director of the Bergen County Chapter of The American Red Cross - Vernon Reed at a reception at CareOne at The Cupola in Bergen County.
CareOne raised $52,500 throughout their 25 Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers and Assisted Living Communities in New Jersey. CareOne matched 100% of the donations raised by Employees, Residents and their Families at their Centers. The fundraising efforts took place at all CareOne sites from September 2005 through the end of December 2005.
“We are thrilled to accept this donation which will assist in the enormous efforts being conducted by volunteers and relief workers in the effected areas from the hurricane” stated Mr. Reed. “This contribution is symbolic of the caring and compassion the Employees and the Residents of CareOne display on an ongoing basis.”
Kevin Breslin, CareOne’s Executive Vice President and CFO was on hand for the presentation as well as several CareOne Administrators, Caregivers and Residents. “We are proud to have contributed in such a significant way and of the commitment to caring our Employees, Residents and their Families have displayed in the fundraising efforts” stated Breslin.
