CareOne at Hackensack University Medical Center is a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) devoted to helping patients get the care they need to restore their strength and independence.

We act as a bridge between a hospital stay in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the care path to home. Combining clinical excellence with compassion, our exceptional team of physicians and nurses provide services for patients with critical care needs who require a longer length of stay in a hospital setting.

Our LTACH has operated on the 4th floor of Hackensack University Medical Center in Pascack Valley since 2014. Accommodations are private and designed to be comfortable and spacious, allowing ample room for visitors and staff.

We are staffed by a team of board-certified physicians, experienced nurses, respiratory and physical therapists, registered dietitians and social services professionals. Through our partnership with the medical center, we have access to an onsite laboratory, X-ray, MRI, and Catscan, minimizing disruption to our patients.

  • Advanced Wound Care

    Our physicians have experience with complex wound management and treatments. Our specially trained and certified wound care nurses provide our patients with the highest level of care for serious and non-healing wounds.

  • Complex Cardiac Care

    Our complex cardiac care management includes expertise in telemetry, arrhythmia management, external pacing, heart failure treatment and monitoring, hemodynamic monitoring, cardioversion, TCP and cardiac monitoring.

  • Critical Care

    Specialized medical attention given to individuals with severe, potentially life-threatening ailments or injuries, necessitating 24/7 supervision and intensive therapy such as vasopressor management, management of multi-organ failure, and blood transfusions.

  • Infectious Disease Care

    CareOne’s medical professionals are trained in preventing, diagnosing, and treating infectious diseases.

  • Sepsis Management

    Our experienced medical staff provides close monitoring, treatment, and support for sepsis patients. We offer fluid resuscitation, antibiotic therapy, vasopressor treatment, and organ support to effectively manage sepsis.
