Empowering Recovery, Nurturing Hope

Neurobehavioral Rehabilitation

What is Neurobehavioral Rehabilitation?

Neurobehavioral Rehabilitation programs offer post-acute care for individuals with traumatic and acquired brain injuries, neurodegenerative conditions and neuropsychiatric disorders. They often focus on helping patients recover from neurological injuries or conditions that affect their behavior, cognition, emotions, and daily functioning. Neurobehavioral rehabilitation is tailored to address the unique needs of each person, aiming to maximize their independence, quality of life and overall well-being.

Treatments in neurobehavioral rehabilitation programs often involve a multidisciplinary team of professionals including neurologists, neuropsychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, and rehabilitation counselors.

The goal of a treatment plan is to help individuals with neurological injuries or conditions overcome challenges, regain lost abilities, and adapt to their new circumstances to enable them to live more independent and fulfilling lives.

Our Approach

Established Through Years of Experience and Expertise

Taking a unique approach to care, this program is chiefly based on a motivational system that provides positive reinforcement as residents progress toward their goals. Furthermore, as they participate in group therapy and other activities, residents earn “points” for participation that can be traded for tangible rewards. Finally, these goal-oriented interventions make a positive impact on patients as they work towards improving emotional regulation, social skills, and activities of daily living.

In addition, many of our dedicated staff members are CBIS trained (Certified as Brain Injury Specialists) and all receive ongoing training in behavioral management, from de-escalation procedures to clinical concepts and more, ensuring the highest level of care is delivered.
